1. Add your domain to your Fabrik site

To do this, log in to Fabrik and go to Settings > Domains and add your domain.

Make sure both the root (non-www) and www versions of your domain are added. This way it doesn't matter which URL someone enters, they'll still end up at your Fabrik site.

2. Choose your primary domain

Every Fabrik website has a primary domain/URL. If someone navigates to a non-primary domain we redirect them to your primary domain. What you choose is up to you.

3. Link from GoDaddy

Go to the GoDaddy website and click the "Sign In" link at the top of the page.

Once logged in, you should be greeted with the domains you own, on the domain you want to use with your Fabrik site click the DNS button

We are interested in 2 records:

Example URL Type Name

domain.com A @
www.domain.com A or CNAME www

Type A means it can only be IP address eg. 52.215.137.200

Type CNAME means it can be a hostname eg. domain.com or @

3a. root domain

Click the Edit button next to the DNS entry for the record with Name "@" and change the Value/Data to Fabrik's IP address 52.215.137.200

3b. www domain

The record with Name "www" can be either Type A or CNAME

A example:

CNAME example:

Double check yours look the same as either of the below for "@" and "www"

Or

And your done ๐Ÿ‘

NOTE: If your Value/Data is "Parked" this just means its using the GoDaddy holding page and overtype that Value/Data to be Fabrik's IP address 52.215.137.200

NOTE: If any of your DNS records do not have edit available like below

it probably means you have forward setup. To make that editable simply find the Forwarding section and delete any forwards for domain and subdomains

LEAVE THE FORWARDING EMPTY! YOU DO NOT NEED TO HAVE ANYTHING IN THE FORWARD SECTION.

The Internet is a big place!

DNS records are replicated all over the internet so any changes you make can often take up to 48 hours to propagate. If after a few hours your domain still goes to the old location, please be patient and wait a bit longer. If you want absolute confirmation that you've set everything up correctly you can use Dig Web Interface.
