1. Add your domain to your Fabrik site

Important: Link your domain within the Fabrik dashboard first. To do this, log in to Fabrik and go to Settings > Domains and link your domain.

Make sure both the root (non-www) and www versions of your domain are added. This way it doesn't matter which URL someone enters, they'll still end up at your Fabrik site.

2. Choose your primary domain

Every Fabrik website has a primary domain/URL. If someone navigates to a non-primary domain we redirect them to your primary domain. What you choose is up to you - personally we favour the non-www version (e.g. yourdomain.com) because it is shorter and looks nicer in the address bar.

3. Link from Blacknight

Go to the Blacknight website and click the "Account" link at the top of the page. Once logged in, click "Registered Domains" under domains.

On the domains page, find your domain and click "Manage DNS":

On the domain summary page click the "DNS" tab and then "DNS Records" to view your current DNS records. If this is an existing domain you may have a number of records already registered. The ones we are interested in are:

Type    Host
A       yourdomain.com
A       www.yourdomain.com

You need to change both of these records to point to Fabrik's IP address 52.215.137.200 Click the hostname link to edit the record and update "Record data" with the new address:

Once done, you should see the following updated records:

The Internet is a big place!

DNS records are replicated all over the internet so any changes you make can often take up to 48 hours to propagate. If after a few hours your domain still goes to the old location, please be patient and wait a bit longer. If you want absolute confirmation that you've set everything up correctly you can use Dig Web Interface.
